🎙️ Real Radio. Real Experience.

Digital Audio Technology

The Digital Audio Production Program at KEOM 88.5 FM gives Mesquite ISD students the opportunity to turn their creativity into real-world experience. As part of the district's Career and Technical Education (CTE) Arts, A/V Technology and Communications pathway, students learn professional skills in audio production, broadcasting, podcasting, and digital storytelling while working alongside industry professionals in a functioning FCC-licensed public radio station. From producing on-air content to mastering studio technology, students gain the technical expertise, creativity, and confidence needed for college, career, and the rapidly evolving media industry.

Learn by Doing

This isn't a simulation—it's the real thing. Students work in KEOM 88.5 FM, an FCC-licensed public radio station, producing content, operating professional equipment, and gaining hands-on experience in a live media environment.
